Linux Touchscreen Media Player

This application uses a specially skinned version of VLC to play media files through a touchscreen friendly interface.

 

Installation

Install scripts assume your device has an internet connection using a Wireless G or Ethernet adapter or equivalent

 

$ wget http://www.liquidware.com/appfiles/83/original/linux-ts-mediaplayer-1.0.sh 

$ chmod 777 ./linux-ts-mediaplayer-1.0.sh

$ ./linux-ts-mediaplayer-1.0.sh

 

Playing Media

Run the application using the following commands

 

$ export DISPLAY=:0.0

$ vlc -I skins2 --skins2-last /home/root/Night.vlt ./Music

 

The vlc playlist shows all your mp3 files placed in /home/root/Music
