The Memory Plug is a small board with space for 4 STMicroelectronics M24M01 EEPROM memory chips. Total possible storage is 512 Kbyte of memory (4x 1 Mbit). This board has two of the four chips soldered on (256K). Let us know if you would like to see a 512K version of the board with all four slots populated.
This board turns the JeeNode into a nice compact stand alone datalogger for medium to small data-logging applications. For example, a mobile JeeNode, on a horse, rocket, boat, bike or jogger might store data until it was in range of a partner JeeNode, JeeLink or JeeUSB, then dump the data to a larger computer.
An I2C bus running at 3.3V is used as interconnect, with all the power and signal lines brought out to to both sides of the board to allow daisy-chaining with other I2C-conformant boards.
The pre-assembled version comes with two SMD-sized M24M01 flash memory chips (i.e. 128 Kbyte) populated and the decoupling capacitor already soldered onto the board. The PCB version can be populated by the user with from 1 to 4 chips (128, 256, 384 or 512 Kbytes).
The preassembled version ships with one six-pin right angle male header.
The PCB only variant contains just the board for the Memory Plug. No parts, no headers.
