The more specialized version of a handheld device is a diagnostic tool, with on the fly visual output. At a basic level, it could be something like a simple digital multimeter digital multimeter. On the other end of the spectrum, here’s a handheld cable analyzer from Fluke , for 2 easy payments of $10,000!
Or in my case, I chose to build something a little more flexible of my own, for a lot less than $20,000.
The Field Diagnostic Rig is like the Sensor Base, but with real-time graphical input and output on a touchscreen OLED display.
It also comes in a “Pro” Flavor, with dual-screens, as well as an additional core.
Both Diagnostic Rigs are portable and ready to be paired with sets of diagnostic inputs, or can be mounted as a remote work station. If set up with the WiNet Kit , the Diagnostic Rigs can also be used to log data wirelessly.
