ScrewShield

Page history last edited by Nick 13 years, 10 months ago

The ScrewShield is a different kind of shield, created by WingShield Industries. “Wing-format” shields stack onto the Arduino much like any other shield, but face outward instead of inward, giving your Arduino wings!

It’s a way of adding some functionality without covering up the Arduino board and its ICSP pins, LEDs and reset button. The ScrewShield is the first WingShield which helps organize and secure individual wires with a row of screw terminal blocks. The boards contain stack-through female headers and screw terminals aligned with each pin.

With two wings, you can either extend the Analog or Digital side of the Arduino board, or both. There are also additional screw terminals for extra Ground and power connections.

Specs

  • 1 Analog-side PCB
  • 1 Digital-side PCB
  • L x W: 2.8” x 0.9”
  • Stack-through female headers replicating all 28 pins of the Arduino
  • 32 screw terminals matching the Arduino’s 28 pins, and additional Ground and power
  • Comes fully assembled or as a kit
